2
Press the button "Set Delay" (delayed schedule), then press the buttons"Hour" (time) and "Minute" (minute) to set the time you want to startbrewing.

3

4
Press the "Delay Brew" (delayed preparation). This will turn on the indicator light "Delay" (delay) of the brewer.

It doesn't matter, I have tried all of these suggestions and it does not work. I fell for it cause it was red. and I've had Mr. Coffee makers most of my adult life. I have NEVER had this much of a hassle. I read the instructions, I had someone who owns one come over and show me how to use it. And I never got it to work. These coffee maker are defective or something.

That's what I thought too however I was able to play around with it and figure it out. If you've got the $22 red one from walmart with the 4 buttons here's how you do it. You press "set delay" then you hit the "hr/minute" button until it sets the time you want and then you hit the "set" button until the "delay brew" light is on solid. Usually that's twice. So it's upper right button, upper left button then bottom right button.

This is easy if you have a Mr. Coffee fttx95-1 model. Press delay brew, set time you want it, hit delay brew and hit the off button twice. Yellow indicator light will come on and stay on.

Try pressing the "brew now" button twice to make the delayed brew light stay yellow. Of course you should set your start time first.

You use the set delay to pick the time and the brown light will flash. Then you click the select/off button twice thus setting the delay brew for the next day. The brown light should now stay on. Hope this helps. If not the mrcoffee website has every manual on it.

Try pressing the "Off/Brew Now Button". Make sure the little brew timer at the bottom display is not showing. I had the same problem and just started pressing buttons until I realized that was the problem.

My ability to set the time to delay brew - hour and minute - is frozen in time. It will not allow me to change the 12:00 o'clock time no matter how many options I've used - unplug it, press delay brew and try to set the time while that is flashing, etc., etc.. Was working beautifully until yesterday - now I prepare my coffee, but when I get up in the morning I hit ON and the coffee brews, but I liked it to work automatically with the delay brew time I set.

How do I get a job posting wrong information on a website? Just like the idiot that wrote this, I'd like to give people completely wrong information because I don't know what the fuck I am talking about. What would make it better, is if real people are having real issues, and turn to me for information. Then I could just make up something up for the hell of it, and go on about my day.

The good news is, following my post above with my time delay being frozen in time and not allowing me to change the hour or minute, after weeks of not being able to delay my coffee brewing, wallah, I tried it the other day and it worked. Don't even go there with me - I have no idea why I was able to set it each day for months as I had been doing when the coffeemaker was first purchased, and all of a sudden it wouldn't work, but I'm now a happy camper. Coffee is there for me every morning. I simply consider it a Mr. Coffee "glitch". because I wasn't doing anything differently.

The "Delay Brew" directions in the instructions manual are for an earlier version of the Mr. Coffee. After following the instructions to set the brew start time, the way to ACTIVATE the delay brewing system is (as an earlier post states):

"On my model I have to set the delayed brew time then use the select button until the delayed brew yellow light is lit."

This is bullshit, It does matter how many times the delay button is pushed or how long the duration is, this Friken piece of crap doesn't work! I'm tired of wasting my time and will just push brew start when I get out of bed and wait for it like I've done my whole life. Good thing I only paid $22 for this thing, I should have known, you get what you pay for!

Because you are hitting the wrong button. The Delay Brew button is just for setting the time for when you want the coffee maker to come on. The directions say for you to hit the On/Delay/Off button twice to get the Delay Brew light to come on steady. Lol.

How many of you were not reading the instructions carefully and kept pushing the Delay Brew button twice in 2 seconds? Lol. The Instructions read for you to hit the On/Delay/Off Button Twice, not the Delay Brew Button. The Delay Brew button is just to set the time for when you want it to come on. Lol

Here is my issue, why does it shut off automatically and is there away to stop that? I work from home so I make trips throughout the day and having it cut off after so long is not ideal. Please help
